Network Technician

We are looking for a full time Network Technician in the Nashville area. This position consists of day-to-day interaction with clients, network troubleshooting and problem resolution over a wide variety of technologies and devices in a service environment. An ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • Ability to support and troubleshoot diverse small business networks quickly and effectively
  • Provide a high level of support to clients via phone, remote access and in person
  • Confidence in their ability to interact with a wide range of end users
  • Ability to perform well in high pressure situations

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of network support & troubleshooting (IP, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems, including Active Directory
  • Working knowledge sufficient to support virtualization technologies in small businesses, especially Hyper-V and VMWare
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft server technologies such as Exchange and SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Working knowledge of  Cisco Switches, Firewalls, and Routers is a plus

Experience/Education

  • Minimum 1 year of IT support required
  • Certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft or Cisco are expected, but not necessarily required

Network Engineer

Inception is looking for an IT professional who is a “swiss army knife” of technical competence. Potential candidates should possess a wide range of working knowledge in multiple areas of IT technology in order to quickly identify problems and troubleshoot them to resolution. Familiarity across a wide range of technologies is a must.

This role will require work on moderately complex projects in a small business environment; managing various small business networks in a Managed Services environment; and administering support to end users via phone, remote and on-site.

The role will require working relatively independently with minimal direction from senior professionals, supervisors or managers. *This is NOT an entry-level or training position. *

Job Type: Full-time/Hourly with Overtime Pay

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm. Flex Schedule and Work From Home opportunities are NOT available for this position. There will be occasional assigned on-call responsibilities in the evenings and on weekends.

Salary: $50,000-$65,000/year

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Territory:

Geographical in Nashville and surrounding area. Small to midsize organizations for all lines of business.
