IBM
If you ask anyone to name one computer company, you may find that a majority of the answers are IBM. International Business Machines started out in 1888 as the Tabulating Machine Company. It became IBM, a Fortune 500 company, in 1924. During World War II, IBM punch card calculators were used by the scientists working for the Manhattan Project. In 1944 IBM built the first large scale digital computer in the world for the United States Navy. Called the Harvard Mark I, it was fully automatic and used punched paper tape. Over the decades since, IBM has expanded into the largest information technology employer on the planet. It is among the most profitable corporations in the world, second only to Hewlett Packard in 2007 revenues.
Although IBM has sold off its Personal Computer and Printing Systems divisions, it continues to manufacture microprocessors, software, and high-end computer systems. “Big Blue” now specializes in heavy duty computer power. From the Intel based X series servers to the Z mainframe business systems, IBM has the high horsepower system for any size company.
Inception Network Strategies sells and installs IBM X series servers. As a partner with IBM we are authorized to service and support most IBM systems, including legacy personal computers and printers. If your business needs serious computing power Inception can provide an IBM solution.
